We love that so many people benefit from our specialised yoga sessions delivered by our brilliant team, but we don’t want it to stop there.
Yoga should be for everyone at any time.
The Umbrella team have been working hard to think of a way that you can easily bring yoga into your everyday life. We started with our Yoga for older adults and people with dementia project (funded by Yorkshire Sport).
The same team that deliver these much loved sessions every week, came together to share their expert knowledge, skills and experience and agree on our top tried and tested movements and practices.
These are the very same movements and practices that we offer in our classes, and that we know are enjoyed by our participants and bring an enormous sense of wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
We have created 28 beautifully designed prompt cards that cover the areas of movement, breath and meditation. With photo illustrations and simple instructions, we hope that these cards will provide you with all you need to keep moving, breathing and connecting at home.
These cards are in A5 so that the print is large and easy to see, and they are connected by a big hoop, so that you can easily flip to your favourite card but still keep all of the cards together.
Our older adults and people with dementia will be trailing these first, but we look forward to rolling these out and creating more.
